MLK and Mahalia

When I was a kid, I listened repeatedly to an lp album by Mahalia Jackson, who was one of my Dad’s favorites. She was a profoundly gifted soul and a gem in the kingdom.

  1. Omygosh, my mom loved her! I remember as a tiny child scooting up close the the old record player’s speaker & listening with joy to ‘Jerusalem Jerusalem, lift up you head & sing..’🙂
