According to Variety, the Grammies ratings crashed horribly this year. The show enjoyed 8.8 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the core 18-29 demographic. Compare that to last year’s 18.7 million viewers and a 5.6 rating—a stunning 53 percent drop for 2021.
CNN held 2.5 million primetime viewers from Nov. 4, the day following the presidential election, through Inauguration Day. But viewers have now ditched the progressive network, averaging only 1.6 million primetime viewers from Jan. 21 through March 15. That includes a collapse of 47 percent among 25-47 year-old viewers.
